The Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assis is an icon of Santa Fe and the mother church of the Archdiocese of Santa Fe. You can see that the spires for the top of the two towers were never finished. If you look closely you’ll see the statue of Saint Kateri Tekakwitha, the first North American Indian to be canonized by the church by Pope Benedict XVI at Saint Peter’s Basilica. She was also known during her short life as ‘Lily of the Mohawks’. Can you see her?
