A Native American legend tells of a gifted weaver whose final creation—a magnificent burial blanket—so moved the Great Spirit that He scattered its vibrant colors across the land. From that blessing sprang the first blanket flowers (Gaillardia), a living tribute to the weaver’s generosity.
The story of the Blanket Flower reminds me that kindness and perseverance are essential to a meaningful life. When we help others, we discover the strength to face life’s challenges. And by staying the course, we can achieve what once seemed impossible.
