Inkosi Edansa is Zulu for “the dancing king” which describes the beautiful and dramatic mating ritual of the African Crowned Crane. I honor these magnificent birds by painting their images on their own feathers. I love that they mate for life and that the males and females are almost identical in coloration unlike most bird species. Mostly found in the Sub-Saharan region of Africa, these huge birds have wingspans up to six feet.
One-of-a-kind acrylic paintings on 5X15 rare African Crowned Crane natural feathers on 10X20 painted canvas panel.
Custom framed using conservation and archival acid-free materials in an 10X20 air tight shadow box window inside a 13X23 wood frame and glass.
