The life water of the Tiwa tribe flows through the Taos Pueblo. Red Willow Creek begins high in the Sangre de Cristo Range at the tribe’s sacred Blue Lake and flows eventually to the Rio Grande. The stream has provided water for drinking, cooking, bathing and spiritual activities for the Pueblo for over 1,000 years.
