One of Three Sisters

Corn or maize, was developed by Native Americans from a wild grass, Teosinte, originally growing in Central America 7,000 years ago. Here in the Southwest over the last many thousands of years, many Native American traditions, stories and ceremonies surround corn which is one of “three sisters”, maize, beans and squash.
